Norman McLean Guest Artist Series: Courtney Huffman-Frye, Soprano

As part of Wesleyan College’s Norman McLean Guest Artist Series, award-winning soprano, Courtney Huffman-Frye will give a masterclass and perform an attractive selection of arias and art songs, including Gwyneth Walker’s jazz and blues-tinged cycle, “No Ordinary Woman” set to text by the distinguished African-American poet, Lucille Clifton. Prof. Nadine Cheek (mezzo-soprano) and Dr. Chenny Gan (piano) of Wesleyan College will also be guests on the recital.
The concert will be held on Saturday, March 19th at 5pm and the masterclass will be on Sunday, March 20th at 3pm.
This event is free and open to the public.
