Macon Amateur Radio Club Special Event Station

The Macon Amateur Radio Club will attempt to promote the Cherry Blossom Festival and Macon through shortwave radio.  We will contact other amateurs in the US and Canada and tell them about the festival and about Macon as in year’s past.  In the “ham” world, this is called a Special Event Station and it will be promoted via a ham radio magazine and website.  The station is set up at the EMA center’s radio room behind City Hall.

The Broadway Divas

PARTY IN THE PARK FEATURING LONESTAR

The band’s awards include a 1999 ACM Single of the Year for “Amazed” (the song also won the Song of the Year award), and the 2001 CMA Vocal Group of the Year.  With over 100 dates worldwide per year, they are celebrating over 20 years together.  Lonestar’s highly anticipated CD, Never Enders, features ten new original Lonestar songs that bring the band’s trademark sound into the contemporary arena.

This year, seating for the headline series will be grouped in pods to promote social distancing.  Guests are also encouraged to bring their own chair to cut down on touchpoints.  We ask when you bring your own chair to remove it from it’s carrying case so the admission team can make sure no hidden items are brought into the Park.  As a reminder, masks are required, and temperatures will be checked when entering the Park.

CHERRY BLOSSOM FESTIVAL 4-BALL CHAMPIONSHIP

Bowden Golf Course | 3111 Millerfield Rd., Macon

This year’s event is a two-person best ball golf tournament that will be held at the Historic Bowden Golf Course which was renovated with tife-eagle greens in the Summer of 2018.  The course has also been lengthened.  $220 per two-man team.  Tea time starts at 8:30am.
