Rachel Forehand

March 20, 2023 @ 3:00 pm - 4:30 pm

The Bicentennial Stage is made possible by the Peyton Anderson Foundation to feature local acts to honor Macon’s Bicentennial Celebration.

Rachel Forehand is a singer/songwriter from Macon, Ga that started her music journey just a few years ago. Resonating a distinct sound between Southern Rock and Country Alternative, this Macon, Ga native captures the audience with her raw and uncut sound. This past year she released her first EP/Singles titled “Six Strings & Day Dreams” in July of 2022 that touches a variety of genres which sets it apart from the rest.

She’s still based in Macon where she composes music inspired by the likes of the Allman Brothers Band, Janis Joplin, Johnny Cash, JJ Grey & Mofro, and The Marshall Tucker Band. Macon has influenced her musically in many ways: Growing up, her father, Dwayne Forehand played guitar for over forty years and her drummer uncle, Keith Forehand, played in a band in the 80/90’s called “The Lifters” — a local favorite who opened up for The Allman Brothers several times.

In the last year she was involved with a collaboration with Otis Redding III and she hopes to continue to be involved in the community of Macon, consistently perform in the Southern Market, and release new music in 2023.
