Party in the Park
Presenting Drew Exposition, YKK, and Yuengling on the Coca-Cola Stage
Central City Park
This year, instead of hosting a street party in Downtown Macon, we are moving the party into Central City Park and offering the concert for FREE with your $5.00 admission; children 10 and under are free. This year’s headliner is sure to draw a crowd and bring Nashville to Macon with his country show. The Cherry Blossom Festival is thrilled to announce Drake White is coming to perform his hits such as Makin’ Me Look Good Again, Livin the Dream, and his newest hit Girl in Pieces as the headliner for Party In the Park. To kick off the night, Central GA hometown boy Travis Denning will open for Drake White and perform his newest hit, David Ashley Parker. We know everyone will want to get there early and get the party started with Travis.
DRAKE WHITE: Named one of No Depression’s 7 Male Artists to Breakout in 2018, Drake White is going to put together the PIECES. His PIECES EP is available now and features 5 new tracks, 2 of which he co-wrote. This follows his debut album SPARK which has earned praise both commercially and across his loyal fan following. The 2016 Taste of Country Fan Choice Awards Album of the Year is a 12-track labor of love that showcases his exemplary songwriting with a rock-infused, organic Country sound and signature foot-stomp. The sultry song “Makin’ Me Look Good Again,” hit the top spot on SiriusXM’s The Highway with its deeply personal lyrics and pulsating groove. It also earned Drake the honor of International Song of the Year at the British CMA Awards. Fans from all genres voted Drake as CBS.com’s GRAMMY “Artist of Tomorrow” as he continues to stun crowds with his incredible live show and soulful voice. Drake, along with his band The Big Fire, has previously toured with Superstars including Willie Nelson, Dierks Bentley, Little Big Town, Zac Brown Band, Eric Church, Toby Keith and more. It is no wonder that the Alabama native was featured in Entertainment Weekly’s New Artists Who Will Rule 2017, Rolling Stone’s 10 Country Artists You Need To Know and Billboard’s Hot New Country Artists to Watch. Major corporations have also taken notice with Geico showcasing his song “Heartbeat” in their national television campaign. Drake recently wrapped a second leg on Kip Moore’s PLEAD THE FIFTH TOUR and is currently on the road for additional headline dates. For the latest updates, visit DrakeWhite.com.
TRAVIS DENNING: A native of Warner Robins, Georgia, Mercury Nashville’s Travis Denning vividly remembers the moment he realized he wanted to pursue music for a living. He was seven years old sitting in his Dad’s truck and heard AC/DC for the first time. From then on, he was hooked and devoured all types of music from country, pop, rock and heavy metal. Travis started playing local bars at the age of 16 and built a solid following from his distinctive songs and raucous guitar licks. He moved to Nashville in 2014 and within a year signed a publishing deal with Jeremy Stover’s RED Creative Group. After securing outside cuts by Jason Aldean, Justin Moore, Michael Ray and Chase Rice he caught the attention of Universal Music Group where he eventually signed a record deal in 2017. Travis just released his debut single “David Ashley Parker From Powder Springs,” an upbeat coming-of-age song that paints a picture of a young man reminiscing on his carefree college memories. Travis was recently selected as a CMA Kixstart Artist Scholarship recipient and will receive unique opportunities to participate in CMA-related events as well as connect with industry professionals. The singer/songwriter has previously opened shows for Cole Swindell, Alan Jackson, Chase Rice as well as Justin Moore and is currently on the road with LANCO as part of the “Hallelujah Nights” tour. When Travis is not touring, he is in the studio working on his debut album.
