Middle Georgia State University’s Garden Symposium takes place each Spring, as part of the legacy of the late Dr. Waddell Barnes, founder of the Waddell Barnes Botanical Garden on the Macon campus. It is a way to educate and engage gardeners about the local flora (trees, shrubs and ground cover plants) of the Middle Georgia area. The Symposium will feature a keynote speaker as well as break-out sessions to cater to attendees’ special interests. Our theme this year is the Cherry Tree. Join us as we explore the native and imported species of Cherry Trees, and enjoy browsing/shopping the unique selection from our Vendors.
