MACON, GA — Macon, Georgia’s International Cherry Blossom Festival is once again proud to bring the community together and honor our nation’s heroes with a series of veteran-focused events, including the Veterans Day 5K, Parade, and Golf Tournament, November 8-10. A portion of the proceeds will directly benefit the Georgia Veterans Service Foundation, helping provide essential support and trustworthy resources for local veterans and their families. “The Cherry Blossom Festival has always celebrated the spirit of community, and this Veterans Day weekend, we’re honored to recognize the men and women who have served our country with such courage and dedication. Macon’s beauty shines brightest when we come together in gratitude and celebration,” Stacy Moore, President & CEO, said.

Veterans Day 5K — Registration Still Open!
Lace up your running shoes and join the community for the Veterans Day 5K, open to runners and walkers of all experience levels.

• Location: Middle Georgia State University’s Georgia Premier Cross Country Course

Veterans Day Parade
Enjoy patriotic-themed floats, military units, marching bands, and all of the fun as we honor our hometown heroes.
• Date: November 9th at 3 PM
• Location: Downtown Macon on Cherry, First and Mulberry Streets
Veterans Day Golf Tournament
Teeing off for a cause at the Cherry Blossom Golf Tournament, players will enjoy a day on the green while giving back.
• Date: November 10th at Noon
• Location: River North Country Club
About the Festival: The Cherry Blossom Festival through its diverse programming and events enhances sense of place, quality of life, community fellowship, and civic pride of all Macon and Middle Georgia residents. The Festival achieves this through economic impact, veterans support, educational opportunities, showcasing local organizations and artists, and community coordination of recreational, cultural, and social activities. The 2026 Festival will be held March 20-29, 2026.
