Exciting news regarding the Cherry Blossom Festival Royalty Program presented by the Cantrell Center, Sullivan Forestry Consultants Inc., Rivoli Realty, and Wesleyan College. The Little Mr. and Miss Coronation is coming November 23rd at Wesleyan College! Applications are online now for children ages 4-6 who have not yet entered the first grade. Deadline for consideration is November 15. The selected ambassadors will enjoy a one-of-a-kind experience during the 10 days of the Pinkest Party on Earth. The Little Mr. and Miss serve as a part of the Royal Court along with our other title holders.

A new tradition will be shaped for 2020 with a Coronation for the Royal Court on February 20 at the Museum of Arts and Sciences. Three title holders will be crowned to serve as ambassadors during the Festival March 27 – April 5, as well as throughout the year at appearances and events.

The Cherry Blossom Festival Queen will be chosen from applicants who are High School Seniors. She will be selected based on her application, resume, a minimum 3.0 GPA, her transcripts, 3 letters of reference and an interview focused on knowledge of the Festival as well as community involvement, on February 8, 2020. Deadline for entry is January 31, 2020. The Cherry Blossom Festival Queen will have amazing VIP experiences not only serving the Cherry Blossom Festival in Macon, but also representing the organization at partner Festivals such as Fiesta San Antonio or Minneapolis Aquatennial. A scholarship is awarded for $16,000 per year, for up to four years, to Wesleyan College in Macon, GA.

Applications for the new title of Cherry Blossom Festival Princess will be available on November 13 at cherryblossom.com. She will be selected from Middle School Eighth Grade students. Her crowning will be based on her application, resume, a minimum 3.0 GPA, her transcripts, 3 letters of reference and an interview focused on knowledge of the Festival as well as community involvement, on February 8, 2020. Deadline for entry is January 31, 2020. The Cherry Blossom Princess will serve along the other members of the Royal Court during the Festival and throughout the year at appearances and events. A scholarship is awarded for $15,000 per year, for up to four years, to Wesleyan College in Macon, GA.

The Cherry Blossom Festival Legacy Queen will be chosen from ladies 55 and older and will be awarded in honor of Festival Founder, Carolyn Crayton. Her crowning will be based on her application, resume, 3 letters of reference and an interview focused on her knowledge of the Festival as well as community involvement, on February 8, 2020.

Our organization now has the opportunity to select ambassadors through a process which allows us to understand the future queens in a deeper way, and to crown the individual who is the best fit to represent the Cherry Blossom Festival”.
